Let’s be honest, sometimes it’s hard for us working girls to keep up with our busy work schedules, maintain a social life, take care of our mental health AND exercise on top of all that. However, exercise is important to me and I refuse to let “I’m too busy” get in the way of reaching my fitness goals. A year ago I did a Style By Number video on 7 ways to wear leggings, and I still live by those tips. On days that I can’t spare an extra hour to shower and get ready after working out, here’s how I make my workout outfit work-appropriate:
Option 1: Blazer + Biker Shorts + Heels
Putting a blazer on your workout outfit is a no-fail way to make your outfit more polish and proper. I personally like layering colorful blazers like my MSGM pink blazer (sold out but similar here and here) or a bright blue blazer (like this and this).
Option 2: White Shirt + Biker Shorts + Dad Sneakers
Option 3: Knee-high boots!
Knee-high boots are my winter staple and you can easily throw on a pair of knee high boots with your biker shorts. My boots were from Tibi but they’re almost sold out (very few left here), you should also check out this and this.
Option 4: Trench Coats + Leggings + Slides
This is my lazy airport outfit, but it’s also very work-appropriate. Slide into your favorite pair of slides (preferably something fancier like the Aquazzura pompom slides, the Madewell Pointed Mules and the Sam Edelman leather mules), and add a trench coat.
