#Health is a big goal for Team SOS this year but we find it hard to squeeze working out into our packed schedule. But we’re all about making it work, so that means sometimes we just have to go straight from a workout to work. Here are the ways we transform our workout outfit and make it more office appropriate.
My trick to wearing full-length leggings straight to work is to layer it with something long. I wore a Uniqlo U Shirt Long-Sleeve Dress as a layering piece underneath my UNIQLO U maxi camel coat (sold out but similar here and here). To complete the outfit, I tied a brown sweater around my waist as a belt. When layering, I followed my personal rule of “never wear more than 3 colors” and kept the look clean.
Taking notes from Aimee’s styling tips, I transformed my gym look with a blazer and white shirt layered underneath. I picked a Grey Checked Blazer (similar here and here) and an oversized Madewell White Dress shirt to add volume and dimension to my skin-tight workout clothes. I also kept my color palette monochromatic for a polished look.
To be honest… I always wear my gym clothes to work because I like working out in the morning but hate bringing an extra bag for my change of clothes. So my tip is to wear a pair of trendy sneakers and a nice jacket to the gym, like my vintage black leather blazer (similar here and here). After working out, I’d just change my shirt into a button down to look more put together. Oh, and I also put on a lot of accessories like my gold hoop earrings and a Kate Spade Initial Necklace (see how Aimee layer her gold necklaces here).
