How to Get Rid of Dry Skin in Winter

Ah winter. Doesn’t matter if I live in sunny Los Angeles because it still feels like winter, where the air is cold and dry with the sun playing hide and seek. So many of you guys have been interested in keeping your skin moist during winer months so here are some things I’m doing to prevent dry skin during cold season.

Humidifier
I wanted to invest in the Dyson Humidifier solely for aesthetic reasons but after reading the reviews on Amazon, I settled for the more affordable humidifier. It’s not too bulky so like to keep it near my bed.

 This is a newer mask I started introducing to my winter skincare routine since last December. I like how the it acts as a peel, exfoliator, and mask all in one. Dry brushing
I’m super late on the dry brushing game but since I’ve started, I really love using a gentle dry brush right before I jump into the shower to help stimulate the lymphatic system. Since dry brushing, I notice my skin feels softer and I feel better as well. 

Healthy Fats
I’ll up my intake of healthy fats like eating omega-3 rich foods such as salmon, walnuts, flaxseed, sunflower seeds, as it’s proven to help reduce inflammation as well as supplying the building blocks for healthy skin. Also, I’ll also gladly eat more avocados.

All Good Goop
This balm works amazing on chapped lips or chapped skin. I got this balm on Amazon and I’ll put a little dab of it on my lips right before I go to bed and I’ll wake up with smoother lips. Plus, it has such a soothing smell.

Honey Mask
