How to Wear an Emerald Green Monochromatic Look

September 6, 2018 - 31 Comments

Valerie Canvas Midi Green Floral Dress (similar here, and super affordable here) / Cult Gaia Angelou Bag (affordable here) / Raye Kelly Green Sandal Heels (similar here, and affordable here) / Brinker and Eliza Shell Jewelry Bracelet (under $15 version available here) / Flat Top Alice + Olivia Sunglasses (similar here, and super affordable version here)I’ve really been into emerald green lately (I actually wore an emerald green dress the other day!). This color will be popping up everywhere this fall, and some people are even calling it the slime green trend. What I especially love about emerald green is that it’s an incredibly flattering color on all skin tones and body types, and it definitely is a perfect color to offset the neutral tones that you see in most fall wardrobe pieces. I thought it would be fun to put together an emerald green monochromatic look to show how you can wear the trend.I wore this green Valerie Canvas midi dress (similar version available here, and super affordable version available here) in Milan, and definitely drew outfit inspiration from the beautiful Italian landscapes, cityscapes, and culture. I wanted to wear this green midi dress (as you know, I’ve been all over the midi dress trend lately) because the length of the dress combined with the unique shape of the sleeves adds an element of understated glamour. It’s fashion-forward and sophisticated without being over-the-top, but still makes a statement. Plus, the floral pattern adds a very feminine vibe to the look.I wanted to bring out the green pattern of the dress with my accessories. This Cult Gaia Angelou bag (similar, affordable version here) is like a piece of wearable art. It’s incredibly eye-catching, and it’s definitely a conversation piece. I also wore my Raye kelly green sandal heels (similar version here, and super affordable version here) to tie my whole look together.Lately, I’ve been finishing off my look with beautiful beach-inspired jewelry pieces. I wore my Brinker and Eliza shell jewelry bracelet (under $15 version available here). Finally, I added a pair of chic, Alice + Olivia flat top sunglasses (sold out, but similar here, and super affordable version here).Valerie Canvas Midi Dress (similar version available here, and super affordable version available here)
