A Romantic Pink Polka Dot Midi Dress for the Beginning of Fall

September 3, 2018 - 38 Comments

Ministry of Style Skirt and Top (similar here, and affordable here) / Isabel Marant Sandals (similar here and here, and under $20 version here!) / Prada Straw and Crocodile Purse (affordable version here) / Personalized Alphabet Necklace / Chloe Femininities Necklace (more abstract necklace available here) / My Chloe Hand Motif Earrings ($5 affordable here!) / Brinker and Eliza shell jewelry bracelet (under $15 version here)Surprise! I wore another midi dress. I honestly can’t get enough of the midi dress trend, especially because it’s such an easy piece to transition between the seasons. These dresses are especially perfect for the beginning of fall, because they provide more coverage on chilly evenings. Another reason I can’t stop wearing midi dresses is that they can be styled almost any way, but they always add an element of sophistication to your look. This pink polka dot midi dress from Ministry of Style (similar here, and affordable here) is actually a skirt and top. I love it because it has a distinct, romantic feel. It’s flirty and feminine without being over the top, and the gorgeous pale pink color is super flattering on any skin tone. Also, I love how the ruffles accentuate the female form without overly exposing any part of the body.I added Isabel Marant black, studded sandals (similar here and here, and under $20 version here!) to offset the girly element of the dress. I love juxtaposing unexpected pieces to create contrast. I really think that the black leather and studs from my sandals have a bit of a rock-and-roll element, so it feels fresh and unique to wear them with a pink, feminine piece.I carried my Prada straw and crocodile purse, which I got from eBay, with my look (sold out, but affordable version here). The bag is a great neutral color that goes with almost anything but also has special elements like the crocodile detailing and a chain handle. Finally, I added some shell jewelry pieces and some sculptural jewelry pieces to finish the look. They add such an artful component to my outfits, and really make the look feel more elevated. With this outfit, I wore a personalized alphabet necklace, my Chloe femininities necklace (similar, abstract necklace available here), my Chloe hand motif earrings (under $5 version available here!), and my Brinker and Eliza shell jewelry bracelet (under $15 version available here). Sometimes, the simplest touches can really show off your personal style!Ministry of Style Skirt and Top (similar here, and affordable here)
