How To Wear Louis Vuitton Sneakers, One Blazer Two Ways

Altuzarra had their second show in Paris. Joseph Altuzarra’s inspiration of New York as a child really hit the nail on the head with the pinstripe coordinating suits and fitted vests. I especially like the strong attention to detail on his shoes. I swear anytime I go to an Altuzarra show, I want all the shoes and this collection featured lots of metal details by way of studs and metallic leather. I’m so fortunate I got to see this New York vision come to life. For the Altuzarra show I wore this coordinating Céline blazer (similar here) and Céline pants (similar here). I was in a rush that morning so putting together a suit with a plain white tee under. For my shoes I wore a pair of Louis Vuitton sneakers (similar here and affordable here). Dad sneakers are so in right now (shopping guide here) and to be honest, they’re so comfortable. I then wore a pair of Céline sunglasses (similar here and here) because it was finally sunny outside (did I bring the California sunshine with me?) but really because this was the worse my face looked due to the allergic reaction I’ve been having. I didn’t even feel like putting on eye makeup and felt insecure so I last minute had Sophia grab me a pair of giant Celine sunglasses and I never took them off. It’s funny how, a simple piece of accessory like a pair of sunnies really help you feel more of yourself, like it’s a shield. I was feeling so insecure but with the sunnies on, I felt much better. P.S. how cool is this Louis Vuitton square bag with a chain? It’s definitely going to be the new ‘it’ bag and thankfully it fits, a camera, an avocado, my wallet, giant phone, and more.

Elie Saab is notorious for its couture dresses, and his Read-to-Wear collection included his knack for intricate details. I liked the rich jewel tones with complicated lacework only Elie could pull off with such effortless glamour. The collection included plenty of sparkle and embroidery that left me wondering how can anyone not love Elie’s work? It is truly like watching princess dresses you dreamt of as a girl come to life (but also look so sick in the darker tones.). The music was so good. I hope you guys get a chance to watch my vlog from this day because the soundtrack was so on point. When I attended the Elie Saab show I wanted to have a feminine appeal to my look. I wore an Elie Saab lace skirt (similar here and here) and re-wore my Céline blazer (similar here) from the morning. To switch it up, I belted my blazer this time to accentuate my waist. Then I used my Louis Vuitton bag again to carry all my essentials and wore my Manolo Blahnik Lurum mules (similar here and here) for some glamorous bling. Remember, get a girl (or be the girl) who can do both. Sneakers and heels? Why not, both?

I think it’s rare to pull off sneakers and suits, but somehow you managed to do it! I love this boy-ish and fun look. I think women in suits or typically “male-style’s,” is so cool, edgy and empowering.

  4. When I first saw those sneakers, I seriously wondered how on earth somebody could pull them off in order to make them look good – well, you did it better than anyone could! Amazing look! I also like the second one, especially the clash between the structured blazer and dreamy lace skirt/dress! Beautiful, Aimee!
