Bonjour from Paris! This week I decided to do a diary every day on the blog and show you all the outfits I wore and the shows I went to each day. Check back all week to see all of my Paris fashion week experience.
For Day 1, I had a day full of fittings and seeing as I arrived at noon and was in a rush I threw on the only pair of jeans I packed, my GRLFRND distressed straight leg denim (similar here, here and also here). I wore my Nanushka neutral coat (sold out but similar here and here) to keep me warm (Guys, it’s freezing here!).
So I didn’t pack a lot of things for Paris because I knew I would be dressed by the designers. I didn’t even pack a ton of handbags (I know hard to believe.). I brought this Chloe Drew Bijou bag (similar here) in a camel tone because whenever I pack (and it usually is last minute) I stick to neutral tones. This is so that I can interchange pieces and not pack a ton of suitcases and luggage. The one thing I made sure to pack options for were shoes. These Céline booties (similar here, here, and here) that I brought last year have become one of my favorite boots I’ve ever bought from them. The neutral tone makes them easy to match with and a staple in my closet.
Later in the day, I attended the Jacquemus show. I wore an Awake white bow sleeve blouse (similer here) from Matches Fashion. I like the voluminous, puffy sleeves. And because this top is in and of itself a statement, I paired it with my Self Portrait taffeta bow pants (similar here). What is interesting about these pants are the bows on the side making them a more detailed black pant.
These pants are so comfortable because of the high waisted aspect to them. I then wore my Manolo Blahnik Lurum mules (similar here) Jacopo got me as a Christmas gift.
I flew in early just for the Jacquemus show (all the other shows start tomorrow) and let me tell you it was worth the early flight. Jacquemus is a designer I am absolutely obsessed with and this is my second time attending his show. This collection was Moroccan inspired and reminded me of Morocco with the music the models were walking to and the colors of rich reds, rust oranges, and deep mustard yellows with sandy nudes. On the runway models were striking in intricately wrap dresses, oversized hats, and mini bags with pops of colors. Particularly I liked the mismatched earrings with deep v neckline silhouettes (Gives a little intrigue, no?) with knit dresses. The orange look on the left was my favorite from the shows.
