Blue Floral Top with Distressed Jeans for Zimmerman

February 20, 2018 - 39 Comments

I always look forward to the Zimmermann show at NYFW. The floral patterns, lacey details, and flattering silhouettes never cease to amaze me. The collections always seem whimsical and feminine. So for this show, I wore Zimmermann to Zimmermann (Surprise! Surprise!). I grabbed this Zimmermann cropped floral blue top (similar here and here). I like the color combination of the blue and green in the floral print. The weaved bodice draws attention to the intricate details. To focus more on my top than anything I wore my Simon Miller Jeans (SOLD OUT but similar here, here and here). I like how these are cropped and matched the colors in my top. They’re looser on the leg but I think its a good juxtaposition because my top is more figure hugging and cropped while the jeans are high waisted. To keep my body warm I wore my go-to Nanushka coat (similar herehere, and here). This coat is my savior against any cold elements. It also provides a clean silhouette so you can wear it with a lot of different outfits.I wore my Céline heeled boots (similar herehere, and here). These boots gave me some height  and matched my Zimmerman belt bag very well. I like the texture of the raffia in my bag and I swear raffia and belt bags are a HUGE trend for Spring and Summer. I have seen raffia, straw, and woven bags everywhere (Think Havana oh nah nah). Now is the time to get one!
Real talk, this was my favorite look Nam did with my makeup. I like how we utilized ColourPop Element of Surprise and ColourPop You Had Me At Hello together to created a brighter eyeshadow look to contrast my outfit. It made my look less matchy-matchy. Nam used Charlotte Tilbury Bar of Gold highlighter to make me have some shine and then Laura Mercier lip velour in Coral Orange. Now my hair never holds a side part and I don’t like it to clump with too much product but Ouai texturizing spray held my part on the side ALL day. It was a great spray to add some hold to beach waves for a long period of time.
