Two Different Looks in the same Chanel Floral Dress

January 24, 2018 - 47 Comments

Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week has finally arrived! I look forward to this week every year. But what is fashion week without a few hiccups? One of my suitcases was delayed, but thankfully everything is working out because Chanel dressed me for their show and for the first time in many years I’m only changing once a day instead of multiple times! For Chanel’s Haute Couture show I wore a Chanel floral dress (similar here and here) and it made me feel so feminine and romantic! Typically when I were something so feminine I like to bring a contrast to my look with a little edge. Which was why I wore my Chanel suede cap toe boots (similar here). I walk around a lot during fashion week so although these have a heel, they are one of my comfiest pair of boots I own. Plus it’s slightly chilly in Paris so these boots keep my legs warm! To compliment the dress I brought with me a new Chanel embellished bag, which fit all my make up so that I could touch up my make up before and after the show.
I had to switch up my outfit in between shows and seeing as my luggage was still missing I had to wear my Chanel floral dress again, but this time I changed the overall look. To make the dress more casual I wore a Frame leather jacket that I had worn as a part of my airport outfit (similar here). The supple leather added texture to the look while still maintaining an effortless appeal. I paired it with my mom’s Prada vintage boots (similar here and here). I’m so happy these boots were in the suitcase that wasn’t missing. I was concerned about these boots because they were my mom’s and irreplaceable. As you may have seen, I’ve been trying to incorporate more patent leather into my wardrobe and these boots were the best way to add that patent leather touch to my ensemble. Thank goodness for Momma Song’s vintage goods coming in handy!
Other than switching up my outfit, I also switched up my makeup look slightly by applying the Armani Lip Magnet Liquid Lipstick in 510. Since this look is much darker, I wanted a little bit more color on my lips. This Armani Lip Magnet was the perfect shade for a baby pink lips look.
