Why haven’t I worn more plaid in my life, besides my coveted Tibi blazer (similar here and affordable versions here, here and also here)!? I created a post all about plaid (you can check it out here) and I mentioned that this would be a big a trend for fall because I saw it so much on the runways. Fast forward to today, and what do you know plaid is everywhere! But I’m most excited to see plaid and checkered print pants! I think plaid and checkered print pants bring a very edgy but posh feel to any outfit – if done right! The key is keeping the accessories simple so that they don’t clash with the plaid print. I love these Self Portrait plaid pants (similar here, also affordable ones here, here, and here)! They have the prettiest ruffle detail around the pockets and they’re also the perfect fit (not too tight or too wide). Because the pants have a hint of black, I decided to pair it with a black Brixton fisherman cap (similar here), a J Brand cropped leather jacket (similar version here and affordable one here) and a Dior box bag (similar here). I love wearing a hat on those days when I don’t feel like wearing any makeup. All I had was sunscreen and my brows filled in. And to give the outfit a pop of color, I’m wearing a Lou & Grey turtleneck (similar here) and the most beautiful Gianvito Rossi red leather boots (similar here and super affordable here).
