Black Velvet Blazer & Raw Hem Jeans

November 12, 2017 - 64 Comments

I love that no matter what time of year it is, I can always wear a nice pair of denim jeans and a simple top. Especially when I’m in LA, I love to keep things classic yet chic. But sometimes I get bored wearing a basic white t-shirt and jeans. So I like to switch it up from time to time by opting for different textures and colors to elevate the look. One of my favorite textures I’ve seen on the runways is velvet. And I’m OBSESSED you guys! I wore so many velvet pieces during NYFW (green blazer, self portrait blue matching set, pink turtleneck). So of course when I saw this beautiful PAIGE black velvet blazer, I knew I had to have it. I’m so surprised that I don’t own a single black velvet blazer, but I’m so happy with this one. It not only fits perfectly, but I love how flattering the shape is. Instead of a basic t-shirt, I’m wearing a PAIGE velvet tank and dark wash jeans with a raw hem also from PAIGE. I’m also wearing this velvet scarf that has the same leopard pattern as the tank. I just tied it once and left one side hanging in the front. Keeping the focus on the beautiful black velvet blazer, I went with classic black pumps to finish my look.
