Today was my first day of shows (finally) and it could not have gone more smoothly. The day started off with one of my personal favorites, Self-Portrait. You all know that I can’t get enough of my Self-Portrait pieces, they are just so flattering and the garments are super high in quality. He makes high fashion wearable and accessible. Han, the designer of the collection, could not have created a more beautiful collection. I swear, even though he’s one of my good friends I’m not being biased. I felt that this collection had an Asian flair and 80’s vibe between the silk and ruffles. I talk a lot more about the show and include some highlights here in my latest vlog!
Between shows we took 10 minutes to stop by the flatiron and get a few shots in. I decided to wear a skirt and blouse combo rather than my usual feminine dress look to his show. I find this Self-Portrait top so stylish because it combines two very popular trends: off the shoulder and cut outs. The ruffles that run horizontally along with the perforations in the chest area make this top so special. Not to mention that it’s a great transition piece for fall, so basically, it’s a triple threat.
I styled my sweater with a blue midi Self-Portrait skirt. This skirt was major. It ran asymmetrically with a ruffled lining going down the left side leaving small a slit. I found the skirt to be super flattering and also a great statement piece. This two piece combo was definitely one of my most comfortable looks for the week including the Tibi Heels.
