Fashion Week NYFW Outfit Song of Style

Dress Over Denim

Sometimes during fashion week, it’s a group effort deciding what to wear to a show. In my YouTube video, my team and I debated for about 30 minutes on how to style this pretty Aje Dress (similar here and here). Should I close it all the way? Belt it? Should I wear it on one shoulder or two? Eventually we came to the conclusion of wearing it half opened over a pair of cropped Amo Jeans (70% off) and a pair of badass Louis Vuitton Boots (similar here). The finishing touch was added when I asked the question “do I need a hat?” I had just received this G.Intl Black Baseball Cap that reads “독한년” which means “relentless bitch” in Korean. The company made the hat as a way for women to reclaim the negative terms used towards them in a more empowering way and I love that idea! For the last few seasons, designers have been showing cool statement earrings on the runways. This season Phillip Lim took it to the next level with even crazier earrings and I was very inspired by it for this look. I was looking through my earrings and I couldn’t find one single one that made a big enough statement, so just went with two at once! I’m wearing one blue DVF earring, and one sculptural Louis Vuitton earring. This bag is one of my favorites from the Cruise collection, and I actually wore a very similar one in Paris during Couture Week in July!Aje Dress (similar here and here)

  1. I don’t know how you can come up with these amazing looks but it truly is captivating. Casual but captivating enough to wear during a fashion week. I’m still amazed on how you combined and wore 2 earrings at the same time. Haha!
