Go-To Work Day Outfit in LA

I don’t wear a uniform to work, but I do have my go-to pieces and styles that are staples in my work day outfits. A creative day job in Los Angeles means I get to wear jeans most days, which is great because I don’t know I’ll need to be a bit dressier in a statement top, or if it’s going to be a day spent on the job site in a t-shirt, and so many pairs of jeans are versatile enough for both. A lot of times it’s both, and it’s nice to be able to just change my top on the go without having to worry about the rest of my outfit. In this case, I started my day in a t-shirt and a pair of Current/Elliot Jeans (similar here, here, and here). In the afternoon I had a few meetings to go to, so I changed into a Claudia Li statement top with a black blazer (under $100 here, here, and here), and put on my current favorite shoes for Spring, which are a pair of black and white Celine Sandals–yes, they came like that! (Affordable version here, and they also come in blush pink so you could mix and match if you get both!) How cool are these Etro earrings (similar here and here)? I’ve been loving sculptural earrings ever since I saw them on the runways during New York and Paris Fashion Weeks a few seasons ago. I found some more online that I have my eye on and listed them below! You can get #3 for only $25, and #6 for only $19! 1. Sarah & Sebastian
2. Rosie Assoulin
3. Mango ($25)
4. Rosie Assoulin
5. Rosie Assoulin
6. Rebecca Minkoff ($19)
7. Paige Novick for Tibi

  3. I’m loving the fact that denim is having a major moment this season, so we’re seeing so many different styles and variations, which make it far less boring. That said, I love that patchwork skirts and #’s 5 & 8 in the jean category. Thanks for sharing, beauty, and I hope your’e having a great week so far! http://www.uhandbags.store

  4. Love this jeans… I’ve been wanting to try this jean trend for a while now but I haven’t been lucky enough to stumble upon a pair. Hopefully,i can find a pair that’s not too expensive soon

  5. Loving the casual and relaxed feel of this work outfit! <3 :) You really pulled the look together with the blazer! I love that because LA is a very casual and chic neighborhood, but the blazer gives the perfect touch of sophistication when needed!

  9. What a great style tip, Aimee! It’s defiantly much easier to switch out a top and pair of shoes to instantly transform you look dependent upon the occasion. I love that statement top and those shoes are so cool; I didn’t think they came like that at first! Thanks for sharing, beauty, and I hope you have a great weekend ahead!

  11. The mismatch of the Celine sandals is such a great detail. Also the Sarah & Sebastian earrings you recommended are a work of art. Stunning piece.
