Paris Fashion Week came to an end on a beautiful note with the Louis Vuitton show, and I was absolutely blown away by the whole experience. They shut the Louvre down, and Frank Ocean played in the background. I even got to talk to Nicolas Ghesquière after the show–I may or may not have asked him about the strip club.. see what he says in my new YouTube video!
I had a lot of fun with this full Louis Vuitton look. I’ve always loved mixing prints and textiles, so that’s exactly what I did here, pairing a ruffle-sleeved sequin frock (similar here) with a printed ruffle dress (similar here and here). I think mixing prints works best when the items you’re wearing share similar design elements. Here, the ruffle in the sequin top matches with the ruffle in the dress, and I also love how the v-neck cut in both of these pieces works together to highlight the layered effect.
I kept the styling feminine but cool with a short coat to match the length of my dress, and also threw on the patent boots (similar here and here) and fishnet socks (similar here and here) I’ve been wearing all of fashion month.
Wearing short-cut dresses makes me so excited for summer! I love hot weather (and being tan) so being able to wear this look after being bundled up during New York Fashion Week was a happy reminder that summer is right around the corner!
