Go-To Airport Outfit

#JetSetAimee is off again! I had a nice week back in LA after Ethiopia, FINALLY getting to stay in my new house for more than two days. Jacopo even came to see me, so I really couldn’t have asked for a better week. The hustle literally never stops though, and I’m in Korea! Since I spend so much time in airports and on airplanes, I’ve definitely gotten airport style down to a science–it’s not just about being comfortable, but you still want to look your best, also while wearing pieces that will make getting through security as easy as possible. When it comes to being comfortable, I think a lot of people don’t realize that your bags will actually make a big difference. I brought this MCM Dieter Weekender duffle bag as my carry-on because it’s super lightweight and fits everything that I want to bring with me. I’m also wearing an MCM Dieter Nylon backpack to carry my computer, camera, and anything else that I don’t want to put in my checked luggage. For your outfit, start with a pair comfy pants, whether it’s a chic pair of leather track pants, or nicely fitted joggers. I’m wearing a pair of The Great army pants that are so soft. I usually wear a comfy sweater with a jacket overtop since it’s always so cold on the plane, and I wear slip on shoes, since you have to take them off at security. Today I wore a Vince sweater (similar here), VEDA blue suede jacket (identical version here), and Stella McCartney slides (super similar here!).

I love the outfit but I use Von Baer bags for travel because I like their durability.

  2. Nice outfit, loved it.. Nowdays, cloth management has become the necessity and if you can manage that then you are a good going. Every girl should learn to how to carry one outfit on different places in different ways.

  3. If there is an airport look you definetely showed it! I am (we are all waiting) to see the “taxi from airport to home” look, the “from where the taxi leaves you next to your home to your home”look, the “from the door of your room to the hall” look..and so on..Your style enrich every single moment/metre of our daily life..Every sidewalk now would be a catwalk

Great tips A, I’m definitely going to use these when I go to Europe this summer!

  5. Omg shark liver? The fact that this company uses plant based ingredients is so important to me and this really sounds like a fabulous company! Your skin is glowing – and I can’t wait to see more of your house, it looks beautiful! http://www.bagstopshow.com/

  6. I love the new color you’ve released, it actually looks like grey, so I can see this one being very popular too! I love the way you’ve styled it with the leather pants and fishnet for an edgier look. Thanks for sharing, girlie, and I hope you’re having a great day so far! http://www.parajumperpjs.com

  7. Oh, I’ll have to look into this too! I also have battled with eczema my whoooole life, or at least most of it so skin care products are important to me, especially without the harsh chemicals. Thanks for the quick review! http://www.vivienneuwestwood.co.uk

  8. This is a great post ! Traveling has become more stressful over the past years. One way to alleviate some stress is to have a comfortable travel outfit chosen in advance and ready for travel day !! You look relaxed and stylish and ready to go!
    Thanks Jandrew

  10. Aimee, these photos are sbsolutely stunning@ I dream of going to Paris for Fashion Week one day and, in the mean time, I definitely live vicariously through you and your magnificent travels. Cheers to great fashion, International Women’s Day, and rocking your girl power. Here’s to hoping we can be at PFW at the same time in the near future.

  11. Where are your initial necklaces from? Seen them in a few posts and they really work with so many looks!

  12. I totally agree that a pair of comfy pants or a comfortable outfit is a must for airport fashion. :)

  14. Love your airport look Aimee and totally agree with your tips, bags are SO important! I would add to that suitcases with four wheels, I travel by myself quite often and with a lot of bags so being able to wheel them easily is a must! ;)
