Day 4 of fashion week was much more laid back than some of my other days when I have had up to four back-to-back shows! Having a large gap in-between shows was amazing because I had enough time to switch my look from velvet to polka dots. I started the day in an ultra-feminine look, then finished with something edgier. I also took advantage of the break by taking outfit photos in front of this perfect mint house, which our amazing driver Lorenzo found! To the Sies Marjan show, I wore a velvet See by Chloe dress (similar and affordable here and here) with a ruffled camel coat for a more feminine look, but kept it cool with Topshop croc boots (similar here) and fishnet tights. Afterwards I was so happy to wear a multicolor polka dot dress from Diane von Furstenberg’s new collection, with an oversized Balenciaga coat borrowed from one of my old friends.
After Sies Marjan I was looking forward to seeing the Diane von Furstenberg presentation because the brand is now under new creative direction. The collection was absolutely beautiful — I especially loved how Jonathan Saunders mixed prints and lines to create unique takes on Diane’s classic vision. He kept the integrity of the brand, but gave it an awesome modern update. Even though the dress I wore was multicolored and printed, it wasn’t over-the-top because all of the colors were similar and complemented each other super well. I also kept the styling minimal to let the dress shine! My friend’s Balenciaga coat (similar and affordable here, here, and here) added some edge to the outfit, and I finished the look off with cherry-colored patent Topshop boots (similar here) and a single statement earring from JW Anderson.
