Easy Chic Airport Style

With all the time I spend on planes and living out of suitcases, I’ve come up with some ideas of what works best for an easy trip. Here are some tips on how to achieve the easy chic airport style that I like to wear when I’m traveling — they’re super comfy, but also look put-together so you can get going as soon as you land at your destination.

If your first day of travel is a free day, head to the airport in a long cardigan, an elevated sweatshirt, your favorite black jeans, and some slip-on shoes to make security lines easy. Once you land, you’ll be ready to explore.1. Vince Cardigan (similar here, affordable here)
2. Revolve Lace-Up Sweatshirt

5. Chloe Bag

Sometimes I have a full schedule the second I land. For super busy trips, I head to the airport in a business casual outfit that looks clean and chic, but is also comfortable enough to sit in for hours on a plane. I like wearing my bigger jackets and coat on the plane so they don’t take up too much space in my suitcase. A long coat or jacket, like this one by Rachel Comey, makes a striped button-up and jeans look polished, and pointed-toe slip-ons complete the look while also being easy to run from meeting to meeting in.

I’m so happy athleisure is such a big trend, because it’s perfect for super long international flights! You can look stylish while also being the coziest person on-board, in your favorite tee, some sweatpants, your go-to biker jacket, and some simple sneakers.

As you guys probably know, I am super into skincare. At home I have so many products I use every day to keep my skin glowing, but when I’m traveling there’s that TSA limit on liquids, so I take only what I need. I go to the airport with a fresh face, and during the flight I like to keep my skin clean and prepped for landing with a hydrating face mask, my favorite Laura Mercier rose oil, and toning mist. Right before I land, I’ll put on a bit of makeup — some tinted moisturizer, a bit of tinted brow gel, and my favorite Laura Mercier lip color. I also love layering accessories at all times because it makes every outfit look a little more put-together. My go-to pieces are delicate rings, bracelets, and necklaces that I can stack on top of each other.

2. Laura Mercier Rose Oil

4. Laura Mercier Lipstick (my favorite shade is “Palm Beach!”)

  11. Ugh I wish I could look this good on planes! I just end up caving and wear sweat pants all the way through, and change into some jeans upon landing.
