Dressed Up Denim & Statement Sleeve Roundup

The past few weeks have been sooo busy. I’ve been living out of moving boxes, and it’s so tempting to wear the same outfit every single day. I’ve probably worn the same pair of jeans five times in the last week. I’m trying to stay comfy (especially because it’s been so cold in LA!) but also look put-together, so that means jeans and bold tops. I love tops with statement sleeves because they can make a casual outfit look a bit dressier, while still being comfy. I especially love this Asilio bell sleeve top (similar here) because it looks simple layered under an oversized cardigan, but then the sleeves are beaded, too! It’s such a pretty piece that takes my favorite pair of Frame jeans to the next level. Also wearing Loeffler Randall suede mules (also in black and silver), and my Chloe ‘Inez’ bag (similar here, here, and here) Adding this Madewell sweater coat for an extra warm layer Citizen watch, Eyland bracelet and ring. Loeffler Randall shoes (also in black and silver)

Here are some more statement sleeve tops that I’ve had my eye on for while!

  2. Hi Aimee, really like the outfit in this blog post. Been following you constantly ( on you tube, instagram and pre ordered your book before it came out and read it cover to cover – clique but I never do that!) for over 2 years and you’ve inspired me with your outfit looks, wittiness and just your down to earth nature! Thank you!

  5. Yesss I’m all about the statement sleeve, although I strangely don’t have any in my wardrobe! That blouse works really well with those jeans – a perfect mixture of dressing up and down!

  6. Great outfit! I used to think long costs swamp me (I’m 5’2). There used to be a lot of advice in the glossies about what short people should and shouldn’t wear and one of them is that clothes should be fitted and knee length. Then I realised that long and oversized clirges looks good on me too. http://www.showibag.online/

  7. I’m loving those jeans, they really add a unique touch to the whole denim on denim look, as well as that trench. The color looks so good paired with that beautiful Prada bag! Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a wonderful weekend, beauty! http://www.vivivennewestwood.co.uk

  8. I mean why wear one piece of denim when you can wear two? You rock denim on denim Aimee! Plus I love your trench picks – I love a good robe jacket that is a little long because I feel really chic as I glide in it! http://www.katespaede.com

  9. You are amazing Aimee!! I love you so very much! I’ve been so inspired by you and your work! Love your pictures and everything that you do. And how you care for humans who are less privileged. I have also started a fashion blog. Would love for you to have a look at it. Still learning and it is such a tough job! P.S. I love you new home! Can’t wait for a wardrobe tour

  10. It’s all in the shoes! A great pair can really elevate an outfit! Moving is such a hassle. Plus, remembering to label boxes specifically so you can find things again is also a pain!

  11. If the backdrop is your new hood, then bravo girl!! looks beautiful. I live in a suburb out of Montreal, Canada (not too far from the city though;) and the cozy vibe is perfect for me…all the best to you! And finally, THOSE SLEEEEEEVES ARE AMAZING!!! the bead detail is not something you see often on the bell sleeve. Love, Love, Love! xo
