Had a quick trip to New York City last week! It was only for a few days, but it was the perfect amount of time to break out my fall clothes for a bit. Being able to wear velvet is one of my favorite parts about fall, and I’m completely obsessed with this Keepsake velvet dress (similar here for $160 and also here for $83!) and Jimmy Choo velvet heels (similar here, and affordable version here). Wearing one of my other favorite fall pieces, which is this Zara coat that I actually got a few years ago. I love it because it’s so easy to wear, either with jeans or a dress, which makes it ideal to travel with. It’s all about packing those versatile pieces, especially when you don’t want to check a bag! Find a similar version here! Accessorizing with gold details. I’ve been super into buckle bags like this one by J.W. Anderson, because the metal hardware is like another accessory by itself. Mix and matched the gold with a rose gold Citizen watch.
The reason I was in New York City was to speak on a panel about fashion displacement with Polimoda. It was such an amazing experience getting to speak as an authority with other fashion professionals like Suzy Menkes and Julie Gilhart, who I’ve looked up to for so long. You can read about the discussion we had here!
