3 Beauty Essentials That Help Me Look and Feel Awake
November 13, 2015 - 163 CommentsI feel like I’m always lacking on sleep (I can’t remember the last time I had my 8 hours of beauty sleep) so I’m going to share with you three beauty products that help me feel and look wide awake.
Let’s say you have your base makeup done. For me that’s just filling in my eyebrows, applying sunscreen and maybe putting on eyeliner which takes about 10 minutes every morning (8 minutes goes to trying to make my brows even.) Since I’m always lacking sleep, to look awake, I curl my lashes and apply mascara which helps open up my eyes. Right now, I’m loving the Estee Lauder Little Black Primer (available at Lord & Taylor) which is a primer you put on before applying another thick layer or mascara but unlike other mascara primers, this one is black so I use this just by itself. It’s not heavy and it’s subtle but definitely makes a difference. If I were to go out at night, I’ll apply another coat of actual mascara and because the primer works so well I look like I have fake lashes on.
I know I’m not the only one who is obsessed with the NARS the Multiple stick in Orgasm. It gives me an instant glow on my cheeks and is super easy to apply so I just apply it with my fingers without using a brush. The cool thing about Nars Orgasm is that it’s really flattering on so many different skin tones. My girlfriends and I all love this shade.
Thanks to some mascara and blush, I look awake but do I feel awake? Not really… so I fake it with some perfume. Throughout the years, I went from zero perfume to collecting so many (from Marc Jacobs to Michael Kors) and naturally, since I like everything Chloe, I really like the scent of this Chloe Pen Spray Fragrance. It’s so small and easy to carry and the fresh scent helps me feel awake!
