aimee_song_of_style_new_york_city_view_nyc_peace_nomo_sohoFashion week is over, but I still wanted to share some of my favorite spots and moments from New York. I’ve done a quick NYC guide before when my parents were with me, but this time I wanted to share places perfect for any fashion lover just visiting or if you were to come during fashion week!Aimee_song_of_style_ramy_brook_lace_up_blouse_top_chloe_flats_shoes_chanel_navy_bag_super_sunglasses_topshop_vest_blazer_denim_shortsWhere I stayed: Nomo Soho
I absolutely loved this location and the rooms. Being in Soho is so convenient especially now that most of the fashion shows are spread out around Midtown and Downtown. My favorite part about this hotel were the suites, the view, as well as the convenient location. You get the gorgeous New York City view from your room and from the rooftop as well. The spacial planning of the room was great with plenty of storage! I was able unpack all of my clothes with ease and have somewhere to put them because of the generous amount of closet and storage space throughout the room. Also, as a beauty junkie, I loved that the Nomo Soho had a lot of counter space in the vanity.aimee_song_of_style_nomo_soho_nyfw_new_york_fashion_week_2016_for_love_and_lemonThe bed situation at the Nomo Soho: wearing a For Love and Lemons PJ set (dress version here).aimee_song_of_style_gentle_monster_sunglasses_nyc_new_york_viewThe view from the roof top at Nomo Soho. Where to eat: By Chloe, Nomo Kitchen, Beauty & Essexaimee_song_of_style_by_chloe_nyc_vegan_foodProcessed with VSCOcam with a6 presetBy Chloe (pictures above) – A new vegan restaurant in Greenwich Village that became my favorite vegan restaurant ever. I ate here three times during NYFW and every experience was amazing. My favorites were the Guac Burger, Quinoa Taco, and the Spicy Thai salad. It’s extremely filling despite being vegan, but save room for their amazing dessert! Also, this neighborhood is really cute so I highly recommend walking around for cute photo ops!aimee_song_of_style_nomo_soho_restaurant_nyc_new_yorkProcessed with VSCOcam with a6 presetNomo Kitchen (pictured above) – Every morning before going to shows, I had their ricotta pancakes (which is currently making my mouth water just thinking about it) and the granola that comes in a mini jar. I may or may have not packed a few of those jars with me so I could eat them while going to shows.
Beauty & Essex – It’s a pawn shop in the front and a restaurant in the back. I’ve been to this restaurant a couple of times before and my favorite memory of this place is the music (every time I’m there, they have amazing DJ’s) so I end up dancing upstairs by the DJ booth whether it’s allowed or not. Of course, the food is really great as well and so is the decor. The lobster mac and cheese is my absolute favorite here! I suggest ordering a bunch of plates and sharing with your friends.

What I wore: By now, you’ve seen all of my NYFW outfits so I’m sharing a few outfits that I wore out and about and to events!

  9. The perfect guide for New York, I’ll use it the next time!
These photos and these outfits are really amazing, the By Chloe food looks so delicious and the hotel view is magic. The last outfit is my favorite, it’s pure you with the mix between these high waisted shorts and the beautiful blouse, those sandals are a little piece of art, so chic. The best part is the Chloe suede bag, the boho chic inspiration looks great with the rest of the outfit and it’s pure love

All of your pictures of the food during NYFW looked amazing. Next time you go to NYC definitely try Lamarca. It’s mainly pasta and it tastes amazing. Freshly made! It’s on 22nd street on the east side. Try Schillers as well. It’s on Rivington St on the lower east side. It’s a really cool restaurant and I think you would like the decor as well! Anything that is in that area where Rivington St is, definitely try. A lot of cute and small cafes and small restaurants. Worth a try!

  20. I don’t think Curt would have much of a shot winning any eliecton. Is there anyone out there who actually likes him? For all he did for Boston, still every Boston fan I know doesn’t really like him, they just respond to questions with something like, well, I’m really happy for what he helped accomplish for us, but he should shut his mouth because he’s an idiot. As for Moose in Hall, I guess it makes sense that he not get in if we look at his peers who will be getting nominated around the same time- Maddux, Smoltz, Glavine, Randy Johnson, Clemens, Pedro. Those are all guys who were incredibly dominant. Moose, as great as he was, just wasn’t in that league. While I have never thought much of Glavine, he does have the magic number and that’s what counts to get him over the hump. As far as Moose playing on the Orioles in the 90s and Yankees in the 2000s, that’s true that that probably helped him get some wins, but it’s also true that pitching in the AL East probably took away it’s fair share of wins from him. Facing at various times the Sox, Yankees, Orioles, and Blue Jays is not an easy task- far more difficult than playing in other divisions. This is the premier offense division and probably always will be.Side note: if Moose shouldn’t get in before Blyleven- should Schilling get in before him? Or before Jack Morris for that matter? Schilling’s got the 3000+ strikeouts, but he doesn’t have the win total of Moose or Blyleven (who also has more Ks, as do Clemens, the Unit, Maddux, and Pedro). He also has the postseason record, making him similar to Morris. If you put those together does it make him Hall worthy? I don’t know. I think right now people think he and Moose should get in, but in five years from now, with some perspective, I think people will answer no.’

Vegan food isn’t normally unsatisfying so it shouldn’t be surprising that a vegan restaurant would have filling food. I don’t mean that in a rude way I just wanted to inform you that you shouldn’t stereotype vegan food as normally unwilling. Obviously, if you’re vegan and you have a meal that’s all vegetables you need to eat more than you would when eating animal products to get a healthy amount of calories. However, most vegan meals include very filling foods like chickpeas, bread, pasta, potatoes, ect..
