Hello from gloomy New York! As soon as I landed in New York I was thinking how hot and humid it was but before the day ended it started drizzling. I woke up early this morning to kick off my New York Fashion Week with BCBGMaxAzria. I curled my hair and all but as soon as I got out of the hotel, my hair turned flat. Can’t complain though, because the light rain did bring a nice breeze.
I wore this really flowy BCBG Runway Isidora dress with my favorite metal accessories: Benedetta Bruzziches cabaret gold clutch that I’ve worn last year to their show and my Sophia Webster Evangeline winged heels (bootie version here.)
These Sophia Webster Evangeline winged heels are probably one of the most photogenic heels I own, not to mention they are quite comfortable (or aren’t as painful as most heels) because of the quality. I love this rose gold color but it also comes in silver and a colorful version as well as in booties for fall. I also did a quick outfit change into this absolutely gorgeous pink Marissa Webb trench dress from her resort collection. There’s also a short crepe dress version here. You don’t even know excited I was for this show since I’ve been a huge fan of Marissa Webb for years and I knew this collection wouldn’t disappoint. I kinda teared up towards the end of the show actually. At the show, I was sitting right across these two older couple that were really well dressed and I couldn’t help but keep looking at them because they were excited about every single look that came out of the runway and were looking at the collection with such a proud face. Later, when Marissa Webb came out after the end of the show, she gave them the biggest hug and that’s when it clicked to me that those were her parents. Just watching that made me so emotional. I bet they are so proud of her because I’m not even that close to Marissa Webb and I was so proud of her! Her collection was full of pretty colorful pieces and military inspired pieces that still had a strong feminine touch. One of my favorite looks was this beautiful yellow trench inspired silk dress that I posted on my instagram but I also really loved all the lace pieces she showed as well. I absolutely adore this Marissa Webb trench dress that I wore to her show. It is the perfect shade of pink! I paired this outfit with my Gianvito Rossi Bow-Tie Bunny Sandals and my new Chloe Hudson Mini Charm Shoulder Bag which I love. Just like my Sophia Webster wing heels, these bow-tie bunny sandals are super adorable and photogenic!
