During fashion week, I barely get any sleep. I go to shows during the day, eat, then go to an event or two (or three sometimes) at night then come home and work on my blog, email, and my design project. By the time I shower and sleep, it’s around 3am. Sometimes, even later! If you’ve seen my late night/early morning snapchats (hey, let’s be buddies! Mines @songofstyle) you’d know my 3am antics! Anyways, because of that, I feel like my skin suffers the most so I make sure to pack the best skin products that’ll help me look awake and young!Morning
Skin Inc Serum – I start off with my customized Skin Inc serum which consists of Ceramide, Hyaluronic Acid, and Vitamin A which are good for hydration, dullness, and replenishes the skin. I’ve been using this serum for over a year and love what it’s doing to my skin.
Kate Somerville Eye Cream – I smize (smiling with your eyes) a lot and wear contacts so I’m definitely trying to take care the areas around my eyes. I’ve been using this eye cream for about 2 weeks now and really like it because it’s not runny.
La Mer Illuminating Gel – When I didn’t get enough sleep and have dark circles or when I eat Mexican food late at night and wake up with puffy eyes due to all the salty chips I ate the night before, this is what I use. I think it’s super anti-aging but for me it works better to get rid of puffiness.
Skin Inc Hydrating Shield – Right after my serum, I apply this product and use it as a light moisturizer. It’s really calming and light and is suppose to protect the skin. My sister and I have completely different skin types (I’m extra dry, she’s super oily) but we both really like this one. I just finished my first bottle and definitely going to get a new one.
Lancome Bienfait Sunscreen SPF 50 – It’s super liquidy so I like that it doesn’t leave my face white. Usually when I’m traveling, I use my La Mer The SPF 30 UV Protecting Fluid which is amazing because it’s not greasy. I kind of use it as a primer.
In the Shower
Origins Clean Energy Gentle Cleansing Oil – Because I have very sensitive skin due to my eczema, choosing the right cleanser is very important for me. I love this because it’s so gentle yet removes my makeup.
Estée Lauder Take It Away Makeup Remover – I think eyes are the most sensitive area so you don’t want anything harsh. This works really well to remove mascara and my eyeshadow that I put on during fashion month.
Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega Mushroom Cleanser – This cleanser is gentle as well so I use it with my cleansing oil but it’s not good enough to remove the entire makeup by itself. It’s actually really calming and moisturizing as well.
Clarisonic Cleansing System – After I wash my face with an oil cleanser, I usually put a regular cleanser (or the cleanser that comes with the Clarisonic) on the Clarisonic brush and then cleanse my face all around. I don’t always travel with this because it is slightly heavy (although by not much) but whenever I have a lot of makeup and use this, I see a difference in my skin.
Skin Inc Pure Revival Peel – Sometimes I use this in the shower after cleansing, and sometimes I use it in the morning before I put on my makeup. It cleans away all the dead skin cell, leaving your skin smooth because you need to have clean skin in order to absorb all the products you are applying.
After dabbing on Vanicream (super moisturzing lotion without parabens, scent, etc.) these are the products I use to keep my skin hydrated throughout the night.
Sulwhasoo Essential Firming Cream – It keeps my skin super moisturized and tight. I also use their Perfecting Cushion Foundation Compact as my foundation which provides really great coverage and feels super light and moisturizing.
Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Moisturizing Cream – Gosh, I have so many freckles no matter how much sunscreen I put so I’m trying to get rid of them by using different whitening/brightening creams. I really really like the Skin Inc Snow White Mask but the cream is super white so I look like a ghost! So when I’m traveling and staying with friends (or my boyfriend) I use this brightening moisturizing cream instead.
La Mer Creme de la Mer Moisturizing Cream – My absolute favorite despite the price. I take a small amount, rub it in between my fingers then apply it on my face and it’s the most moisturizing thing ever.
Skin Inc. Deepsea Hydrating Mask – I use this on the plane, at home, and when I travel. It’s super, super moisturizing so I leave it on my face overnight and wash it off in the morning.
