Tuesday’s Top 10 Leather Pants & How to Wear Them

I’m sure it comes by no surprise but I love leather pants. Just like denim, they’re what I turn to the most and over the years I’ve accumulated quite a collection from faux leather leggings to real leather pants. Above are some of my favorites for every budget from high to low.

Here are some of my tips on how to wear leather pants depending on the style.

Faux Leather Pants. These ones above are from Blank NYC and cost under $100 but feel like real leather pants. I wore them here in San Francisco and layered up and added textures to make this look feel more luxe and interesting.

These ones are from H&M (similar here) and I went for more of a casual vibe but wore my strappy sandals to avoid looking too basic.

Slouchy Leather Pants. These are perfect if you want more of a relaxed fit. Rag and Bone currently has one of the silhouettes that I’m loving. I love adding color when I’m wearing black leather pants so I threw on a Veda leather jacket and colorful New Balance kicks.

Or keeping it all black but adding a military print and a graphic tee like I did here. Similar style pants here.

What I like about slouchy but tailored leather pants is that you can easily dress them up or keep them super casual like I did here. I’m wearing my Lovers + Friends faux leather pants (similar here) with Nike Roshe sneakers. A lil tip when buying men’s sneakers is make sure you go down 2 sizes of men’s size.

Leather jogging pants. Before Kanye’s interview about his leather jogging pants and how he brought that idea to Fendi, I was wearing them. Here‘s the proof. I also wore these with an all black ensemble in Florence in a more simple way. I remember when I wore these people had mixed feelings about them but I loved them because they’re so comfortable and edgy at the same time. Because they are so slouchy, I like to wear them with heels as oppose to flats.

Wearing my leather joggers with a striped button down and Celine heels. These are appropriately named the Rag and Bone pajama pants.

Cropped Leather Pants. I like wearing my cropped leather pants with flats. My favorite cropped leather pants are from J Brand and they have zippers on the bottom which make them more interesting even when dressed down. You can find similar ones here.

Here’s a longer version or the regular length version. The ones from J Brand are usually my go to’s for work or travel. 4

I really like how you style your leather! Very elegant!

How do you feel about men wearing leather pants on a cashmere sweater and combined with vans? Why can’t leather pants become a fashion item for men without being associated with gay and bikerstyles?
Either nubuck, or suede pants look very nice in neutral colors like black. The more shiny pants would be for the more advanced fashion statement….

    A fan of you,

  6. Nobody looked better than Diana Rigg as Emma Peel wearing leather pants, jackets, vests & riding, aka, kinky boots. The fashion designers stole men’s motocycle leather pants & jackets or aviators leather garments and put them on beautiful women; what a combination.
