I can’t believe it’s late October already. This year so far has been crazy busy for me with all of my travels and the different projects that I’m working on, both fashion and with my interior design job. I feel like this week has been the longest period I’ve been in back home in Los Angeles in years. I’ve been home for 2 weekends now and although that seems like a long period of time, it feels like I just got back to L.A. a couple of days ago because I’ve been so busy! Anyways, my days back in L.A. require a no fuss outfit that’s still appropriate for my day job and the weather since it still feels like summer.song-of-style-distressed-skinny-jeans-loafersI’ve been living in these AG jeans lately which are basically a slightly slouchy version of skinny jeans. Processed with VSCOcam with f2 presetYou can never go wrong with a great white shirt, jeans, and these Zimmerman loafers.Processed with VSCOcam with f2 presetI always find myself collecting white, blue or striped button down shirts. They’re so easy to wear – with skirts, jeans, and even leather pants. I wore mine with a black Tibi skirt, Chloe Drew bag, and Schutz lace up pumps.song-of-style-striped-button-up-lace-up-heelssong-of-style-zoe-karssen-sweatshirt-white-nike-seanekrsLast weekend, I spent some quality time with my best friend Cuit. Cuit motivated me to do the AIDS walk with him where people walk and try to raise money to benefit the AIDS Project Los Angeles. Not only was it a great workout (we walked almost 6 miles!) but I was so impressed by how many young people (college students and even high school students) showed up and walked. It was so inspiring to walk with so many young individuals who are trying to raise awareness of AIDS. I wore a Zoe Karssen sweatshirt and Nike Roshe Runs.Processed with VSCOcam with f2 presetI also attended the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic and this is my attempt on Divot stomping during half-time aka my Pretty Woman moment! This was my second time attending and I’ll be honest, I was so busy eating and people watching that I didn’t really watch the polo match much! My outfit is from Keepsake (similar here) and heels are from Tibi.Processed with VSCOcam with f2 presetsong-of-style-oversized-tee-lace-braAnother favorite of mine that I keep collecting are great tees. I really like this oversized deep v-neck t-shirt from Anine Bing. I wore it with the t-shirt with an Anine Bing lace bodysuit and a Jennifer Zeuner necklaceProcessed with VSCOcam with c2 presetIn honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, here I’m wearing pink. My best friend’s mom passed away from breast cancer last year and one of my friends Taji is currently battling breast cancer, so this cause is very dear to me. I’m going to be donating all of the proceeds from an upcoming eBay auction to a breast cancer foundation. Will keep you posted on when the auction goes live!song-of-style-mango-checkered-top-and-bottomsWearing a matching checked top and checked shorts (dress version here) from Mango. Boots are from Michael Kors via Macy’s.song-of-style-camel-coat-michael-kors-miranda-toteFall in L.A. isn’t really like fall in other places. I brought out my sleeveless camel coat (similar here and here) and wore it with an Everlane top, Cameo skirt, Tibi Amber heels, and my favorite work bag, the Michael Kors Miranda tote (also here.) I also love this crossbody version.Processed with VSCOcam with c2 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with f2 presetIt did get chilly enough for a turtleneck on Friday, so I wore my Self-portrait baby blue turtleneck sweater (similar here) and boyfriend jeans with my trusty Givenchy Antigona bag and Givenchy heels.Processed with VSCOcam with c1 presetSunday was spent with my sister Dani! My sister and I finally did some shopping at The Grove, visited our favorite antique store which is full of quirky pieces, and ate some good Mexican food. I literally rolled out of bed with no makeup on besides filling in my brows and quickly got dressed. Unwashed hair, striped button down shirt, J Brand denim shorts, and dirty ol’ chuck taylors. I looked a little messy so I had to throw on my Helmut Lang Tux blazer to make this outfit look pull together. I’m telling you, button down shirts are the best when it comes to fast dressing!Processed with VSCOcam with f2 presetWhat’s your go to easy outfit?

  3. Maybe they are wiser. It depends on your value system. The U.S. has buildings constructed to withstand earthquakes, too. But most people seem to place more value on saving money on building quality to spend on gadgetry & entertainment.

  4. No, you’re confused. The only “evidence” of Chinese “economic ascendancy” in this post are the skyline photos that frequently adorn articles and blog posts about China’s bright future. You seem to have a problem processing sarcasm and the evidence before your eyes. Empty skyscrapers and malls are not evidence of ascendancy. Those are “anecdotal.” The economic data on lending are a different kind of evidence. The analysis of an economist like Andy Xie or a strategic theorist like George Friedman (NEXT 100 YEARS author) would be something else again.

Where to get the necklaces in the first picture? I love the choker.

  9. I love your looks Aimee! You outfits are effortlessly stylish and you are such an inspiration to me! Love from a fan in Australia!

  10. My go to pieces are definitely boyfriend jeans and a loose tee, whether it be plain or printed. Those jogger style pants that look dressier are definitely my go to when I want extra comfort without wearing something that looks like sweatpants. Both paired with some slip on sneakers (like Vans or Steve Madden ones) or Chuck Taylors and I’m good to go!
I’m loving all your outfits with those button downs; so simple and easy, yet they look so put together!
