Light Blue in Vulcano

I spent a beautiful 5 days in one of the 8 Aeolian Islands by Sicily called Vulcano to discover the inspiration behind Dolce & Gabbana’s iconic perfume, Light Blue.

Vulcano is a very small volcanic island yet spending 5 days here was far too short to take in all the beauty this island had to offer. This day, my sister and I went on a boat tour, swam in the middle of the ocean where the water was crystal clear with all kinds of sea creature (I got stung by a jelly fish but spray some lemon, and it was all good!)

On the boat, passing by the rocky cliffs and looking through the blue water, I somehow felt like I was on set in a Dolce & Gabbana photo shoot. I could remember each scene from their Light Blue ads and really felt the inspiration behind the perfume.

My favorite part was definitely swimming in the beautiful blue waters. It was a moment of calmness where I was alone with Mother Nature, and I took in as much as I could.Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset song_of_style_yellow_bikini_dolce_and_gabbana

Everyday we discovered something new about this island so there was no shortage of inspiration and I can clearly see why Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue was inspired by the Sicilian islands.

  5. Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this site.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very difficult to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appeal.

I must say you’ve done a excellent job with this. Additionally, the blog loads extremely quick for me on Safari.
    Superb Blog!
