Coachella 2014 – At the Guess Party

song_of_style_coachella_palm_springs_isabel_marantWhat a weekend! I drove to Palm Springs last Thursday, right after my Ann Taylor event (btw, thank you to everyone who stopped by, even though it was a day before Coachella. It was so lovely meeting you all!) and my entire weekend was nonstop fun.

Since Palm Springs and Indio (where Coachella is at) is so hot being it’s at the desert, I try to avoid wearing black and always pack a lot of whites and brights. Although Coachella may be a music festival, you can’t deny the strong presence fashion has at the festival. There are also tons of fun parties going on at the same time, so I brought a few extra outfits just incase it got chilly or needed to change!song_of_style_coachella_palm_springsI love lace and crochet for Coachella. I wore a lace cut-out top from Cameo to the Guess Coachella Party at the Viceroy hotel. I also love this one from Dolce Vita thats similar to the one I wore in South Africa or this one with cap sleeves! (P.S. Shopbop is having a 25% off sale!)song_of_style_crochet_top_coachellaAnother favorite of mine for Coachella is embroidery. I love Antik Batik for all their embroidery goods and updated bohemian pieces.song_of_style_coachella_guess_party

  1. WOW! I thought that was a dress, and thought… that looks like an amazing dress! love how you styled it. And yeah… I went to Coachella once wearing a sheer black button down and midi skirt. Not the smartest thing. Then again I brought a parasol, so it kind of worked. Oh well, next time!

  12. While Coachella is known for the music, I really only want to go to for all the fashion events and to finally be able to dress for summer! Maybe next year….
