Wide Leg Pants in Union Square

I’m stepping away from my usual skinnies, and swapping it for these wide leg pants. I wore this outfit last month to my Tiffany Atlas event in Union Square, San Francisco. It’s always refreshing trying different silhouettes, and since I was in San Francisco for only a day and had been traveling so much (September alone, I was in L.A., N.Y., D.C., Chicago, S.F., and Aruba) I wanted to simplify my outfit. I kept my hair natural, outfit simple in black and white, and just let my Tiffany & Co. jewelry shine.

I left to S.F. in such a hurry that I completely forgot to pack a belt so my pants were falling off pretty much every 2 minutes. Thankfully I always pack a safety pin, so I safety pinned the back to keep it from falling, but my biggest tip on wearing wide leg pants, is to make sure they aren’t dragging on the floor but revealing just the tips of your shoes.songofstyle-black-shirt-tiffany-atlas

Wearing my favorite Tiffany Atlas pieces. I don’t mind mixing metals so here, I’m wearing both gold and silver in my jewelry, handbag, and even my iphone case.

  1. Wide pants are not my cup of tea but they really look nice on you, also loved the simplicity of the outfit.

  2. Love black and white together. I would hate to get the bottom of those pants dirty but it would seem inevitable since they are longer..

  3. Welcome to SF! Since you’re in the area… have you had a chance to check out Tout Sweet? It’s a lovely patisserie just around where those photos were taken. :)

I love the flowing, white pants. I’ve been looking for a pair forever (tried Theory, Vince, Alice & Olivia, etc.), but since I’m petite (5’4″), none of them have looked right on me. Mostly, I look like I’m swimming in fabric. :( Wondering if it’s a style better with height, but I’m still hoping to find something..!

  4. Aimee, you absolutely pull off the low-key but still put-together vibe! the pants are vibrant but so clean (figuratively and literally :)) and the mix of jewelry lends itself to the overall minimalist look.

  5. I love these white wide legged pants! I tried on a pair in Zara a while ago but they didn’t fit correctly – yours look flawless! Please check out my fashion blog at http://www.theboonreport.com – I guarantee you’ll enjoy it! :)

  6. I am in love with wide leg pants and this looks is absolutely no exception! Personally it makes me think of the 70’s (mind you it’s an era that I love) but with such a modern twist. The flowyness of the look is so elegant and sticking with two simple solid tones only adds to that. Seriously love this look
