On my third day of New York Fashion Week, my schedule was filled with some of my favorite designers’ shows and one of them was Tibi. Of course, my sister Dani and I wanted to channel our Tibi spirit so we both wore Tibi.
This might be one of the most colorful outfit my sister has ever worn. If you’re like her and live in black and white outfits, a great way to introduce color is by wearing a silhouette you’re already comfortable with. My sister’s go to silhouette is boxy and oversized, so she picked a boxy neoprene top and kept the rest of the outfit in black.
I, on the other hand, love color so I decided to color block. When color blocking in completely different colors you didn’t even think to put together, try to avoid prints and stick with solid colors. I honestly didn’t realize that these colors would go together until I wore them all. I think going with simple silhouettes helped tie in all these colors together as well.
Since I was in the mood for color blocking, I threw in a new favorite bag of mine from MCM. I love all the bright hues mixed together in a python texture. It’s fun, it’s a bit feminine, and it definitely makes a statement and of course, the gold hardware on the purse screams my name!
