The Day After Christmas

Last night, I went to my good friend Bert & my one of my besties, Benita's house to celebrate the day after Christmas.

There was ALOT of eating, drinking(I don't really drink alcohol so def. more eating for me lol), talking and reminiscing about the old days and wondering my we don't do this often type of stuff. lol

I wish I could have all of Benita's Bags.

I love being home.

I love having my phone off and just spending time with my dogs and walking them.

I normally don't wear a lot of make up since I have extremely sensitive skin and these days, I just stopped wearing make up. ah, I'm just that lazy. lol

This is my first outfit post since I got to LA.

The weather was a lot nicer today. I think it was somewhere around the high 60's till 4-5pm but now its back to the 40's and i'm freezing.......

My dogs desperately need a hair cut. lol

I met a famous music producer at a car wash place in Melrose today and I told him I wanted to design his penthouse that he just bought. hahaha

My mother always told meeh, Dream BIG! lol

My best friends came to pick meeh up yesterday from LA so we spent the day in the city doing tourist stuff and drove back to LA today.

I was excited to be in a warmer city but it's not that much warmer here

BUT, i'm so happy to be back home with my lovely dogs and my family! =)

Sorry my lovely readers for being MIA for a few days.

I've been extremely busy working on my final projects and have been super sick since Saturday but I have officially finished all of my finals! YAY YUH!

Despite the fact that I've been staying at school till midnight and was up till 4am, I wasn't able to get the A I wanted but passed those classes with a B+.

Since I finally had a little bit of time today, I did a quick facelift to my fugly sofa/futon.

If I had a lot of time I would've went to a fabric store and would've upholstered it but since all I had was a couple of hours, I just went to Ross and got a King size blanket and covered the sofa then decorated with some extremely cheap Urban Outfitters pillows.

7 Details about me

Marian from House of Style has tagged me to write about 7 Personal Details about me.
So here it goes,

1. Although I may look a little girly and weak, I used to play Volleyball, Soccer and was a co-captain of my Cheerleading Squad all throughout high school. Also this kind of falls into the asian stereotypes, but I know martial arts and yes, I've kicked a guy's butt. lol

(My senior year. I weighed more than now but I was more fit back then)

2. I used to be in so much love with Sylvester Stallone untill he openely declared that he wanted McCain to be president. If he had'nt then I'd still be in love with him.

3. My favorite movies are My girl, Love Actually, Bridget Jones Diary 1 & 2 and my favorite actor is Colin Firth just because of the roles he plays. lol

4. Since 9th grade I've only used two perfumes in my whole life. Anna Sui by Anna Sui and Vera Wang's Princess. Currently I use Vera Wang's Princess but as soon as I am done with it I'll go back to Anna Sui.

5. I used to teach Autistic kids at my church every Saturday for four years. Actually, that's how I became Christian. I don't go to church anymore due to my laziness and hectic schedule but one day, sooner or later I'll start going again.

6. I used to work as a professional Kitchen and Bathroom Designer. I had to lie to my clients about my age since I was so young and I actually have designed a very famous person's house. Well one person is very well known and the other is only known in LA.

7. I have a few tattoos and I've had 7 piercings before including my eyebrow.

I believe I'm suppose to tag 7 ppl to do what I've done, but I don't think it's just fair to do only 7 ppl since I would like to get to know more about everyone of you so feel free to write about 7 details about yourselves on your blogs!

I was at school till 12am yesterday and I'm probably going to stay there till midnight once again so I shall hopefully see you guys tomorrow!

New Strappy Shoes

I saw these gorgeous gojane.com shoes from Princess Lloyddia and the minute I found out it was less than $30 I decided to purchase them. I've never really bought anything from online so I was very skeptical and a little bit scared but the really inexpensive price convinced me to get it.

I haven't worn them outside yet but they fit well except that the zipper is very poorly made (it took me several tries trying to zip and unzip) and I don't think these are meant for long walks.

Aimeeways, I'm planning on wearing these in LA since I won't have to walk much.

Yay for new shoes!

btw, somebody was asking me why my cheeks were so red in the previous post and it's partially because I am wearing blush plus I was so happy when I opened the gift I guess I became overly excited and whenever I'm excited I turn a little red. haha

Emily Dickinson & I!!

Remember I went fabric shopping a couple weeks ago?
I meant to make this dress awhile back but never got the chance to since I've been so busy with school and work. I had a day off for my birthday so I decided to make my birthday dress that I've been putting off.
Since I have never made a dress before, it took me 5 hours making this dress.
I know it's not perfect, but it's close to what I wanted to be and I'm so proud of myself! teehee

Also, I got a Chanel 2.55 bag from my wonderful boyfriend. I can't believe I got this!! I thought I was going to faint the minute I opened the present.

I have a 1pm-6pm class on Tuesdays and my plan to stay at school till 12am to finish my project did not follow through because my stomach couldn't go another hour without having dinner. I feel like such a quitter but a girl's gotta eat right?

Now that I had a humongous sea food dinner + a huge bag of chips and salsa, I feel a lot better and I guess I have energy to work on my project.

I was watching Animal Planet as always, and watched a mother bear protect her cubs from a male bear and to do so she literally risked her life.

It was an amazing, heartwarming clip and that clip just reminded me of my mother.

Sorry for the crappy quality. These were taken by my old PDA phone and are old pictures of my mom and I. Approximately 2 years ago.

I miss going to the movies and shopping with my mom.

Oh well, I just have 2 more weeks to go!

YAY!

My lovely boyfriend's even lovelier mom got me a humidifier for an early Christmas/Birthday present and I am loving every bit of it! It's a little different from the one I had as a kid where the water/steam comes out and u could put your face and get your face wet but it does what it needs to do.
I clearly recommend it to those who have dry skin.

Whale Wars.

Have you guys watched Whale Wars that's on Animal Planet?

It's about how Japanese want to kill whales to make money and how people are trying to stop the Japanese from killing the poor whales.
I felt so sad for the whales that the show almost made me cry. On the other hand, I was so mad at the Japanese whale killers (Not at all Japanese, just those who were trying to kill whales. btw, I am part Japanese so to my Japanese readers, please don't get offended) I wanted to go to them and beat the crap out of them. well, that's just how I felt.

Aimeeways, the point is, I'm super happy that people are trying to stop the Japanese from killing more whales, and I can't wait to see more of this show!

Incase you haven't noticed, I'm such an Animal Planet, Discovery Channel and HGTV nerd! lol

As any Monday nights, I got out of class at 10pm and I totally forgot about eating dinner (despite the fact that we have a dinner break) because I was so into my project.
I am so hungry right now.......... I'm cooking pizza and I am eagerly waiting for it to be done.
