Have you guys watched Whale Wars that's on Animal Planet?
It's about how Japanese want to kill whales to make money and how people are trying to stop the Japanese from killing the poor whales.
I felt so sad for the whales that the show almost made me cry. On the other hand, I was so mad at the Japanese whale killers (Not at all Japanese, just those who were trying to kill whales. btw, I am part Japanese so to my Japanese readers, please don't get offended) I wanted to go to them and beat the crap out of them. well, that's just how I felt.
Aimeeways, the point is, I'm super happy that people are trying to stop the Japanese from killing more whales, and I can't wait to see more of this show!
Incase you haven't noticed, I'm such an Animal Planet, Discovery Channel and HGTV nerd! lol

I had a spanish reader who asked me to post this on my blog.
It's about how people give each other animals as Christmas present but by summer they get abandoned.

Yea, I think Hayden Panettiere did a bunch of publicity for the whole whale slaughter thing going on. It's a bit barbaric, really. And the whole abandoning pets is also upsetting.. Why bother getting a pet in the first place?? :(

And ahh, I love Animal Planet and Discovery Channel!! Especially Discovery Health..

ok first, the last part is especially sad :( i don't understand why people would get it in the first place then, so irresponsible!

second, i totally agree with you on how that girl is not the typical pretty face, but she has that attraction and something special about her and her style :)

third, i don't know who that last girl is either. but she is gorgeous! that editorial is actually from a korean vogue girl magazine i got a while back when i was visiting korea. there's more of it, maybe i'll post it up next time :)

and finally, love what you're wearing you gorgeous girl! this look is so classic and so chic ladylike :)

haha sorry aimee this ended up being quite long!

I definitely feel sorry for the whales, but the whole anti-Japanese on the show makes it seem like all people in Japan are evil whale killers, when that certainly isn't the issue. Like they really stress the Japanese whalers thing... That's the only tiff I have with the show. Besides that, I absolutely hate the killing of animals and don't eat anything on land, but I'm a hypocrite because I love sushi. Haha. It's the Japanese in me! :)

I can only hope that the Animal plant program focus mostly on the fishermen and not all of Japan, because not everyone in Japan is the main target.

I'm half and half on the issue. A part of me feels sad for the whales and wants nothing more for this to stop, but the other part of me is thinking of the people who make there living selling fish and it probably being a long family business....

I don't know!! I feel like I'm stuck in between a rock and a hard place.

What a cute outfit, you look wonderful, wish I could pull off the skinny jeans. So sad that some people abandon their animals:( A pet is like a child in a way, if you decide to take one, feel committed to take good care of it, always.

Oh, Aimee you're sooo sweet! I never knew you were an animal lover!

I watched an old movie today called L'ours (The bears) about how people try to hunt for bears for their fur but then they realise that we should protect these endangered creatures.

I completely agree!! Its sad...people get animals as pets because they think they will make a "cute" present- BUT sometimes parents dont let kids keep the pets..or becomes too much "work" and it was not really well thought out
this is great that you posted this
